MyroQ is a South African business software platform being developed by MyroQ Technologies.

MyroQ provides payroll software and is developing additional accounting and compliance products.

2. Information we may process

Depending on the MyroQ services used, we may process:

• employer and business information;
• employee names and contact details;
• identification and employment information;
• remuneration, deductions and payroll information;
• PAYE, UIF, SDL and ETI information;
• banking information where required for payroll purposes;
• user-account and authentication information;
• security, audit and system records.

3. Why we process information

Personal information may be processed to:

• provide payroll and related business software services;
• calculate and administer remuneration and statutory deductions;
• generate payroll and statutory reports;
• support authorised users and customers;
• maintain security and audit records;
• meet contractual, legal and regulatory obligations;
• investigate operational or security incidents.

4. Customer and MyroQ roles

For employee payroll information, the customer employer ordinarily determines why employee information is processed and therefore acts as the responsible party.

Where MyroQ processes that information on behalf of the customer, MyroQ ordinarily acts as an operator.

5. Security

MyroQ uses technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

These include access controls, tenant isolation, secure authentication and sessions, encrypted communications, audit logging, infrastructure controls, backup and recovery procedures and controlled payroll records.

6. Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as required for the applicable business purpose, contractual obligation, statutory requirement, legal claim or lawful hold.

Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where appropriate and legally permissible.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, data subjects may request access to personal information and may request correction or deletion where legally permitted.

Requests concerning employee payroll information may need to be handled through the relevant employer as responsible party.

8. Security compromises

MyroQ maintains procedures for responding to security compromises involving personal information.

Where notification is legally required, the appropriate responsible parties, affected data subjects and regulatory authorities will be notified in accordance with applicable law.

9. Infrastructure and service providers

MyroQ may use infrastructure, hosting, communications and other technology providers where reasonably necessary to operate the service.

These providers are managed in accordance with applicable security, privacy and contractual requirements.
